Happy New Year!

For 45 years, our local market has worked to serve the greater Brookhaven community by proving hope that true health is possible.  Today the tradition continues. It is an exciting time to be alive.  There is a revival happening in the our country when it comes to food and its impact on our health, and Nuts ‘n Berries is in the thick of it.  For decades we have sought to gain a greater understanding of the flaws in our food system and how that impacts our lives and health.  Now, as a community, it’s time to come together to create a better future for ourselves, our neighbors and our families.

Living in a thriving city and getting caught in the hustle and bustle of daily life can often cause us to be as disconnected to  nature.  It is hard to know who is growing our food and producing the products we consume and even harder to capture the love and passion of their work and use that to nourish our bodies and souls.  So I have been working to create a space for you to reconnect in a way and at the time that works for you.  On your terms. 

As many of you may know Souper Jenny is moving to a new home this summer. We will be expanding our footprint into that space and creating a healthy community center of sorts, called The Living Room and featuring our Booze Free Bevie Bar. It’s a new adventure for us, one that I can’t wait to bring you along for.  Imagine a place where you can get your health questions answered, connect with other like-minded people, learn how to become more self-sufficient, learn how to connect better with the Earth, and along the way, build a community that is resilient and believes that this world is worth saving.

Each month this year, we will be rolling out one element of The Living Room starting in January with a reimaging of Book Club!  Join us on January 29^th to whether you have read the book or not to check out our UnWINEd Tasting and see how we are reimaging how we celebrate and socialize as a community.  Then stay tuned for upcoming events and educational opportunities.
